Frequently hitting the brakes then accelerating, then hitting the brakes again will burn fuel quicker than you clocking out of work on a Friday afternoon.<\/p> \r\n\r\n<p>If there's one thing all drivers hate paying for, it's petrol. So making some small changes to your driving style will benefit your ingenie feedback, your passenger's comfort and the big one - your pocket. <\/p>\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/M5kbNRVE_Tk\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/center>\r\n\r\n<blockquote>Try to work on your engine braking: anticipating to stop at fixed points rather than hoping you can keep going and then having to react late. Things like: <\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul> \r\n\t<li>Accelerating gently<\/li> \r\n\t<li>Maintaining a steady speed<\/li> \r\n\t<li>Turning off your engine when you're sat stationary for a while (like when your mate said they were ready and they totally lied) <\/li>\r\n\t<li>Emptying the car of excess weight<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Planning your route and a plan B route so you're not driving more than necessary<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Only using air con when you really need it \ud83d\ude05<\/li>\r\n\t\r\n\t<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<p>All of this stuff combined will make you a better, safer driver and you'll have some change at the end of it to treat yourself.
